PM says Polish border ‘well guarded’ against ‘Lukashenko’s provocations’

[Polish Prime Minister Mateusz] Morawiecki warned his country had to be prepared for “all kinds of provocations and unheard-of, unusual actions by the Belarus regime.”

He thanked border officials and soldiers who had been patrolling the boundary, noting that there were already 1,500 military personnel on the ground, and the number was set to rise to almost 2,000 “in a matter of days.”

“Make no mistake, we will do everything to ensure that Poland is a secure country, and that Polish people can live and work in peace, without the risk of huge migrations which our opponents from the East are eager to set off,” Morawiecki also said.
