The Minister of Defense hosted the Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia and a NATO Liaison Officer.
At the meeting, Rosaria Puglisi [an Italian who was formerly head of the NATO Liaison Office in Central Asia and who had been assigned to Libya, Ukraine, Kosovo and Moldova], Head of the NATO Liaison Office, introduced the newly appointed Colonel Rusen Abidinoglu [a Turkish military officer] to the Minister for the position of NATO Military Liaison Officer.
At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of NATO-Georgia relations and expressed readiness to deepen military cooperation with the Alliance to facilitate Georgia’s accession to NATO.
