Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov accused the NATO of “supporting neo-Nazis” in Ukraine. He said so during the negotiations with the Alliance’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, writes The Washington Post.
According to the outlet, Lavrov made these statements during the closed session on the UN General Assembly’s [session] in New York. A source said that Lavrov interrupted Stoltenberg and blamed NATO for “supporting neo-Nazis in Ukraine and leaving Afghanistan”.
Besides, the top Russian diplomat called the Russia-NATO council “nonsense” and complained about Alliance members “uniting against Russia quite often”.
