Azerbaijani FM: “Azerbaijan-Turkiye-Georgia cooperation format is exemplary for several countries”

“Azerbaijan and Georgia have friendly, good-neighborly and centuries-old relations,” Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov within the framework of Antalya Diplomacy Forum to Azerbaijani and Georgian journalists, APA’s Turkiye bureau reports.


“Today, the South Caucasus region and our wider geography have faced with many challenges. But I want to say generally that we have also gone through wars and difficulties in our region. Azerbaijan and Georgia have always overcome these difficulties with honor. We have supported each other in all difficult times. I think it is very well remembered in Georgia and Azerbaijan,” he said.


“The level of cooperation exhibited by Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as the Azerbaijan-Turkiye-Georgia cooperation format is exemplary for many countries”, said the Minister.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev meets Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara

It was noted at the meeting that with the signing of the Shusha Declaration and the approval of this document in the parliaments of both countries, Azerbaijan-Turkey fraternal and friendly relations have further developed on the basis of alliance….

The meeting focused on energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the successful operation of the Southern Gas Corridor, the possibility of increasing gas supplies to the sister country and Europe through Turkey, as well as the construction of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline. It was stressed that the budget envisages investment.


It was noted that cooperation in the field of military, military-technical, as well as military training and education was successfully continued, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on the events in Ukraine, and praised the personal efforts of Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to end the war as soon as possible.
