MP Abrahamyan: Azerbaijani army’s ‘control package’ in Turkey’s hands since August 2020
The “control package” of the Azerbaijani military has been in the hands of Turkey since August 2020, Armenian MP Tigran Abrahamyan from the opposition With Honor faction said on Monday.
He referred to the latest Azerbaijani provocations in Artsakh, which left three Armenian soldiers killed and 14 others wounded.
“When assessing the actions of the Azerbaijani army, we should remember that since August 2020 the “control package” of the army has been in the hands of Turkey,” the lawmaker wrote on Facebook.
Abrahamyan stresses “from the main operations to the information support” is carried out from Turkey.
“Contacts with the Azerbaijani leader, defense ministers or foreign ministers are worthless if there is no Russian-Turkish arrangement,” the MP noted.
“Turkey is one of the most interested parties in creating hotbeds of tensions in the South Caucasus at the hands of others and “draining” Russia.
“The current contradictions and escalations should be viewed from this very point of view,” Abrahamyan said.
