Morocco and Nigeria intend to build the world’s longest offshore gas pipeline with a length of 5,660 kilometers.
Nigerian President Mohammed Buhari said the cooperation agreement between the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Morocco’s National Hydrocarbons and Minerals Authority was initialed in June 2018, AZERTAC reported.
The pipeline will transport gas from Nigeria to Morocco for European countries via 11 West African countries.
Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Silva, said the project, a continuation of the West African gas pipeline from the country to Ghana, was currently looking for financial partners….
