Poland, Korea set to produce tank

The Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) and the firm Hyundai Rotem from South Korea will create a consortium to manufacture a Polish version of the Korean firm’s K2 tank, PGZ said on Tuesday.

Under a deal struck with Hyundai Rotem, Poland will buy 180 K2 tanks, which it will receive between 2022 and 2025. But the deal also allows for an adapted version of the tank, named the K2PL, to be produced in Poland.
