Vučić: “We have to understand that we are at war”

“Putin uses what he has, the others what they have, everyone uses everything, there is no love in war. When many thought that the war was over and that Ukraine was winning, the Russians started to fight better. It will be a much longer time, and I expect next winter, and even the one there, to be much more difficult than this one,” he began of the conflict.

We have to understand that we are in a war and we have to understand that this war will not end soon. It doesn’t matter to me how it will end, as long as they come up with a solution, but it seems to me that there is nothing to it,” said Vučić, analyzing the situation in Ukraine.

Vucic: I do not have much hope, but fear from future developments

OSLO – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday Pristina’s PM Albin Kurti did not want to comply with signed agreements but was mostly relying on big and powerful Western states and wanted to see them force Serbia to accept something.

When asked by reporters what was there to hope for in future Belgrade-Pristina talks in view of Kurti’s statement that the issue of Kosovo’s status had been resolved in July 2010, when Serbia submitted a question to the International Court of Justice, Vucic responded he did not have much hope, but fear from future developments.

“If Kurti says that, for him, the status issue is resolved, alright. I am grateful to him, because the status issue is resolved for me, too. For me, the finality of the status issue is based on a more important act – on the UN Charter and on UN SC Resolution 1244,” Vucic said in Oslo, where he is on a two-day visit.

He said the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija had had enough while Pristina believed its special police could resolve problems in the north of the province, failing to realise it was only encouraging the Serbs to be absolutely against it and making them increasingly determined.

He said that, as far as the Serbs were concerned, the situation in the north of Kosovo-Metohija and everywhere else in the province was boiling.

A fierce accusation: NATO under attack from Russia

NATO is an accomplice in the crimes of the Kyiv regime, said the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.

She said this while commenting on the statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that NATO is increasing the production of Soviet-type equipment and ammunition needed by Ukraine.

Stoltenberg previously said alliance members had increased production of Soviet-era equipment and ammunition needed by Ukraine, which uses Soviet-era artillery. According to Stoltenberg, this became possible because a number of NATO countries “retained production capacities”.

“NATO is an accomplice in the crimes of the Kyiv regime,” Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel, commenting on Stoltenberg’s words.
