US sends over 60 Bradley fighting vehicles to Ukraine

The US Army’s Transportation Command has announced a shipment of more than 60 Bradley fighting vehicles to Ukraine.

“U.S. Transportation Command is delivering the first shipment of Bradley Fighting Vehicles to Ukraine as part of the United States’ $2.85 billion military aid agreement announced earlier this year,” USTRANSCOM said in a statement on Monday.

The shipment “left the shores of North Charleston, South Carolina, last week, and will provide the Ukrainian forces with additional offensive and defensive capabilities…,” the statement said.

The United States on January 19 said it would provide Ukraine with hundreds of armoured vehicles and other military equipment as part of a huge new USD 2.5 billion security assistance package.
