Thirteen years ago, the war struck the land of South Ossetia. Hiding behind words about peace, having armed his troops with modern weapons with the help of overseas patrons, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili launched a special operation “Clean Field”, the purpose of which was to destroy the Republic of South Ossetia.

On the night of August 7-8, 2008, with the support of artillery, columns of Georgian tanks and assault detachments moved towards Tskhinval….As a result of many hours of rocket artillery shelling, the base of the Russian peacekeepers was destroyed, government buildings and part of the residential areas of Tskhinval were burned. The Georgian invaders showed inhuman cruelty, killing old people, women and children.
