Blinken, Kuleba to discuss Russia’s actions on Ukrainian border

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is going to discuss the announcement of a new increase in Russian military power near the border with Ukraine with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 10, head of the press service of the State Department Ned Price said.

Asked by reporters whether the Kremlin had taken CIA Director William Burns’ warnings about the build-up of Russian forces on the Ukrainian border seriously during his visit to Moscow, Ned Price recalled that the State Department had already expressed concern about Russia’s actions last week and is “monitoring the situation very closely, as we always do, and we’ll continue to consult with our allies and partners on this issue.”

In addition, according to Price, Moscow’s actions were discussed during personal consultations held by President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Blinken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week in Glasgow, as well as during the visit of CIA Director William Burns to Moscow.

According to him [Ned Price], both the president and secretary of state made it clear that “our support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is unwavering.”

“We stand with Ukraine, we stand with Kyiv, and condemn all Russian aggression against Ukraine in all forms. We’ll have an opportunity to do that again in person tomorrow during the course of this strategic dialogue,” the press service head added.
