Ukraine will receive 300 million dollars and additional U.S. assistance in 2022, – Ambassador of Ukraine

In 2022, Ukraine expects to receive other assistance from the United States in addition to the planned $ 300 million. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova….

“There is direct assistance that the United States provides us through its budget – for 2022 this amount is already higher, that is, it has been increased to 300 million. And the component that can be spend on lethal defense has also been increased….[T]his is precisely this help, according to which we receive general trainings, weapons, Javelins….That [is] something that cannot be talked about. But we will try very hard to expand the list of those protective weapons that we can get, “said Oksana Markarova.

According to her, part of the interaction between the United States and Ukraine is the activation in the field of military-technical cooperation.

“…There are two more ways how we cooperate with the United States. This is in addition to the funds that are included in the budget,” Markarova said.

Late last year, US President Joe Biden signed the US defense budget for fiscal 2022, which, among other things, provides for the allocation of $300 million for the initiative to promote the security of Ukraine by supporting the Armed Forces.
