Japan welcomes Georgia’s efforts and response to the Russia-Ukraine war, Imamura Akira, the Japanese Ambassador to Georgia, said on Wednesday at a Tbilisi ceremony dedicated to the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Georgia and Japan are making joint efforts to help Ukraine and isolate Russia in response to the latter’s military aggression in the neighbouring countries, the Ambassador said, adding Georgia and Japan had “challenges ahead” with their respective occupied territories.
