Commander of Georgian Defense Forces hosts Chief of NATO Ground Command

The Chief of Staff of the NATO Land Command (LANDCOM), Major General Mustafa Oguz is paying a visit to Georgia. Today, the NATO General was hosted by the Commander of the Defense Forces, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili. The Commander of the Defense Forces thanked Major General Mustafa Oguz

For significant support from the North Atlantic Alliance Ground Command (LANDCOM) to the development of the Georgian Defense Forces. The personal involvement of Major-General Mustafa Oguz was emphasized at the meeting to strengthen the mentioned cooperation and partnership.

The generals discussed the security challenges in the region and expressed support for Ukraine…in defending the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Major General Giorgi Matiashvili noted the successful bilateral cooperation between the NATO Ground Command and the Georgian Defense Forces in terms of planning and execution of NATO-Georgia exercises. According to the Commander of the Defense Forces, the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Assessment Center (JTEC) was established in close cooperation with the Command and with continuous support, which successfully hosts NATO standard exercises….
