US ambassador: “Azerbaijan’s strategic importance makes it a US partner in the region”

US Ambassador Lee Litzenberger attended a presentation ceremony of English language instruction equipment provided by the Department of Defense to the State Customs Committee, the Embassy told APA.

The Ambassador, together with deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee Javad Gasimov reviewed the computers and training materials provided to the Committee by the US. The assistance is part of the US Department of Defense’s assistance to Azerbaijan since 2019….

The ambassador also noted that the project is another step towards the development of 30 years of cooperation between the US and Azerbaijan: “Azerbaijan’s strategic importance makes it a US partner in the region. Using this opportunity, we are ready to help in order to prevent possible dangers to those who ensure the security of Azerbaijan’s borders”.
