The Assistant Secretary of State noted that the President of Azerbaijan shared his views on the Caucasus.
Karen Donfried stressed that approach of the President Ilham Aliyev to the Caucasus is aimed at integration and peace in the region.

US Assistant Secretary of State: “Today, Azerbaijan plays more important role in energy security”
“We highly evaluate energy cooperation with Azerbaijan,” said the Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Dr. Karen Donfried at the press conference, APA reports.
She noted that due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, today Azerbaijan plays a more important role in energy security.

US Assistant Secretary of State visits Alley of Martyrs
The US Assistant Secretary of State visited the Alley of Martyrs, APA reports citing the US Embassy.
The Assistant Secretary of State Karen Donfried visited the Alley of Martyrs and paid tribute to the memory of those killed.
