The Minister of Defense of Georgia met with his Lithuanian and Polish counterparts at the NATO Headquarters

Within the framework of the NATO Defense Ministerial, the Minister of Defense of Georgia, who is paying a visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, continues bilateral meetings. Juansher Burchuladze met with the Defense Ministers of Lithuania and Poland .

The main topic of conversation between colleagues was regional and global security challenges, Russian aggression against Ukraine, threats from Russia….

During the meeting with Arvida Anushauska, the Minister of Defense of Georgia…thanked Lithuania for the unwavering political and practical support of our country and stressed the special friendship between the two countries. The Ministers discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, Lithuania’s participation in the planned international exercises and exercises in Georgia, the ongoing transformation process in the Georgian Defense Forces and Lithuania’s support in this process, as well as strategic communications and cyber defense .Issues of cooperation in the field were discussed.

Juansher Burchuladze discussed the development of defense cooperation between the two countries at a meeting with Mariusz Blaszczak. The Minister thanked the Polish side for its strong political and practical support to Georgia over the years. The Ministers reviewed the current directions of cooperation between Georgia and Poland in the field of defense and expressed hope for its deepening. Juansher Burchuladze emphasized Poland’s contribution to the implementation of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package (SNGP), Poland’s active involvement in the development of the Georgian Defense Forces Military Police and Special Operations Forces, as well as its contribution to the EU Monitoring Mission.
