U.S. Navy’s Newest Aircraft Carrier USS Gerald R. Ford arrives in Portsmouth
Sailors assigned to the first-in-class aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner arrived in Portsmouth, U.K. for a scheduled port visit, Nov. 14, 2022.
…This port visit marks the first stop for the ships while deployed in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe (NAVEUR) area of operations.

Ford deployed from Norfolk, Virginia on Oct. 4 and has been conducting exercises with NATO allies, including Canada, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany, throughout their deployment.
As a founding member of NATO, the United States shows continued support to fellow founding member, the United Kingdom, with a port visit from its next generation aircraft carrier….

USS McFaul arrives in Rotterdam, Netherlands
The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McFaul arrived in Rotterdam, Netherlands for a scheduled port visit, Nov. 12, 2022.
While in Rotterdam, the crew will have the chance to continue fostering the strong and enduring relationship between the United States and the Netherlands….
Rotterdam marks the first port visit for McFaul since operating in the U.S. European Command (EUCOM) area of responsibility….

McFaul is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet, to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.

USS Roosevelt celebrates Armistice Day in Toulon, France
The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt arrived in Toulon, France for a scheduled port visit, Nov. 10, 2022.

Prior to this port visit, Roosevelt conducted a port visit in Copenhagen, Denmark, after completing operations in the Baltic Sea.
Roosevelt, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, began its fourth Forward Deployed Naval Forces-Europe patrol Sept. 27.
