In an earlier announcement this week, the DSCA said the State Department had approved the sale of an air-to-air missile system package of related equipment and service to Finland, valued at around 310 million euros.

At the beginning of last month the DSCA announced the approval of another weapons deal with Finland valued at around 500 million euros, for Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems and related equipment.

Finland intends to use these defence articles and services to increase its national stock, bolstering the land and air defence capabilities in Europe’s northern flank.…Finland will have no difficulty absorbing this equipment into its armed forces,” the DSCA wrote in a required announcement about the approved sale on 2 November.
