The second feature cites Serbian President Aleksandar Vućić asserting that the U.S./NATO-created (following the 78-day air war against Yugoslavia/Serbia in 1999) pan-Albanian entity in Kosovo has plotted an imminent assault on remaining ethnic Serbs in Kosovo, fully backed by the West (the NATO Quint: the U.S., Britain, Germany, France and Italy), and timed to exploit the war in Ukraine.

The last item cites ethnic-cleansing separatist chieftain Albin Kurti claiming: 1) Serbs in Kosovo are attempting to physically resemble Draža Mihailović 2) The government of Serbia is behind “warlike barriers” in the north of Kosovo 3) If his NATO sponsors don’t forcibly remove the barriers he will dispatch (NATO-trained) troops to do so 4) Kosovo Serbs will face the same fate their ethnic kin did earlier in Croatia and Bosnia 5) That Serbia is infiltrating citizens into Kosovo who “worship the Kremlin.”

Hence all the pieces are in place for the implementation of the final solution to the “Serbian problem” in Kosovo, and NATO is poised to intervene in part in alleged response to the war in Ukraine. – RR

Tensions on Kosovo and Metohija: New barricades installed; BBC: Loud weapons rattling

Also see: Serbian forces placed on highest combat readiness as Kosovo threatens final solution

Serbs in the north of Kosovo and Metohija are at the barricades for the 18th day.

They demand the release of their illegally arrested compatriots, the withdrawal of special units of the Kosovo Police from the north of the province and the withdrawal of secret lists for the arrest of Serbs.

Yesterday, Pristina did not allow the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije to enter the Republic of Kosovo at the Merdare administrative crossing and go to the Patriarchate of Peć. The President of Serbia and Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, ordered that the Army and all units of the MUP be at the highest level of combat readiness, i.e. preparedness to the level of the use of armed force.

BBC: Loudest rattling of weapons

The world media reports on Belgrade’s decision to increase combat readiness after several weeks of tensions in the north of Kosovo. On the occasion of Belgrade’s decision to raise all units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Serbian Army to full combat readiness, the BBC writes that “the rattling of weapons is the loudest to date” after the allegations of certain media that Pristina is preparing an ‘attack’ on ethnic Serb areas in the north of Kosovo”.

Vucic: Pristina wants to banish Serbia, Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija forever

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that, even if the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija calmed down, something new would happen in 15 to 30 days as Pristina’s goal was to banish Serbia and “disobedient Serbs” from Kosovo-Metohija forever.

That is why the Serbs are being criminalised, Vucic told reporters after a meeting with Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

“Considering the geopolitical situation and their desire to crush us due to the situation with Russia and Ukraine, you should have no doubt that this will continue. I am not sure we will be able to overcome that because we are talking to someone who is willing to hear no arguments.”

Pristina should not be arresting people just because it does not like them, he said.

He said discussions were underway with international representatives.

“We are trying to preserve and ensure peace and reach a compromise solution,” he said, adding that threats by Pristina PM Albin Kurti were “hysterical”.

He said he had spoken with Kosovo-Metohija Serbs last night and added that he was ready to go to Raska or Kursumlija for further discussions with them to ensure they spent Christmas at their homes.

Vucic noted that Pristina as well as a part of the international community needed the Serbs expelled from Kosovo-Metohija as that was the only way they thought the problem could be solved.

He noted that, in addition to threats from Pristina, the West is making threats, too, and saying “you are running out of time – if you do not do what needs to be done, we will let Kurti do it all.”

Brnabic: Kurti wants no Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, Serbia ready to protect them

Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday placing Serbian military and police forces on full alert meant Serbia was ready to react in case someone attacked Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, and added that Pristina’s PM Albin Kurti was demonstrating that an expulsion of Serbs from the province was the only thing he wanted.

Kurti’s unbelievable and shameless provocations and unilateral moves have come full circle in 2022, Brnabic said in a statement to reporters.

“He has violated all agreements and, by saying full circle, I am referring to the fact that he began by abolishing the Serbs’ right to vote in January and that he has now banned Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church from entering Kosovo-Metohija,” Brnabic said.

She said the situation in Kosovo-Metohija was becoming increasingly serious and that tensions were growing.

“Kurti has started to threaten with human casualties and forcible removal of barricades…,” Brnabic said.

[Kosovo Serbs] want implementation of international agreements, they want no secret arrest lists and they want Pristina’s police and its special troops withdrawn from the north of Kosovo-Metohija pursuant to the Brussels Agreement, Brnabic also said.

Those are not only not big demands, but minimal ones, and it seems to me they should not even be discussed in the 21st century,” she said.

Kurti blames Belgrade for the “Wagner barricades”

The so-called Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said….He assessed that they are imitating Draža Mihailović and that these are “warlike barricades” and that it is “not possible” that the citizens set up the barricades on their own initiative, but that “Belgrade is behind it”.

***

He repeated that KFOR [NATO’s Kosovo Force] requested additional time to remove the barricades, but that the deadline is “a matter of days” and that the Kosovo authorities will remove them themselves if NATO mission does not do so.

“They know nothing else but to repeat the mistakes of the nineties when they built barricades in Bosnia and Croatia. So, in a way, they only know how to repeat themselves,” Kurti said.

He assessed that “if you repeat yourself, then you are preparing for failure“….

“I think a lot of it is connected with the Serbs who come from Serbia. And in the pictures on social networks, you can see how they brag and how they worship the Kremlin and the Wagnerians,” Kurti said.
