We Train Together

Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise “Amber Lynx 23” was conducted in Bemowo Piskie Training Area, from 2 to 6 of April. Soldiers from the following units were training under the command of the Multinational Division North East Commander MGEN Zenon Brzuszko: 15 Mechanized Brigade, 1 Artillery Brigade, 14 Anti-Tank Regiment together with representatives from Lithuanian and Polish eFP battlegroups. Overall, they represented 6 countries: Croatia, Germany, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom and United States of America. The exercise was conducted with the military equipment from different nations: PT-91, Abrams and Leopard tanks as well as Gepard howitzer and many others. The maneuver on the ground was supported from the air by F-16 aircrafts from 2 Tactical Air Wing and Mi-24 helicopters from 1 Air Brigade of Land Forces. The main purpose of this cooperation was to show the capabilities, cohesion and interoperability on the tactical level.

On the last day, 6 of April, the training was observed by the Multinational Corps North East Commander and the ambassadors from the countries that participated in the exercise. During his visit, the ambassador of the United States of America, Mark Brzezinski stressed that the safety is now the Holy Grail of the Central Europe and we are all working toward it….

One of the tasks of HQ Multinational Division North – East is the responsibility for coordination of the eFP Battle Groups in Poland and Lithuania. Moreover, the Division is ready to conduct defensive operation in accordance with Article 5 of North Atlantic Treaty.
