Military police platoon has gained NATO certification

The First Platoon of the First Battalion of the Eastern Battalion of the Military Police Department of the Georgian Defense Forces successfully completed the exercises within the framework of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package (SNGP) Military Police Initiative and gained final certification in the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion (NATO MNMPBAT)….

The training under the auspices of the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion (NATO MNMPBAT) lasted for three weeks in the city ​​of Minsk-Mazowiecki in the Republic of Poland.

The certification enables the Georgian platoon to participate in various international peacekeeping [sic] missions organized by the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion and to become a full member of the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion in the future. As part of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package (SNGP) exercise, the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia also donated a specialized military police outfit to the Polish Ministry of Defense.

…The Partnership Agreement for Military Police covers various aspects of cooperation and focuses on participation in NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion operations, training and exercises . The Partnership Agreement facilitates the development of military police battalions as NATO-affiliated units, which is one of the main objectives of the Military Police Initiative set out in the NATO-Georgia Essential Package.

By the end of 2022, it is planned for Georgia to apply for full membership (Participant Status) of the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion. The NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion is represented by military police from Poland, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
