Deputy Economy Minister speaks about Georgia’s energy, transit potential at Balkans and Black Sea Forum

Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Romeo Mikautadze spoke about Georgia’s energy and transit potential at the ongoing Balkans and Black Sea Forum in Athens, Greece, the Ministry of Economy announced on Tuesday.

Mikautadze participated in the panel Innovation, Technology, Financing, Investments at Serving Society, hosted as part of the Forum running on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In his address, the Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of the use of renewable energies, as well as the development of new technology and implementation of strategic infrastructure projects, in particular noting the Black Sea energy cable project designed to connect the energy system of Georgia and the South Caucasus with the European Union.
