Readout of Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr.’s travel to Poland

U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr. traveled to Poland Dec. 18-19 and met with Polish Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Gen. Rajmund Andrzejczak, Commander of the General Command of the Armed Forces Gen. Jaroslaw Mika, Deputy Commander of the General Command of the Armed Forces Maj. Gen. Cezary Wiśniewski, Inspector of the Air Force Maj. Gen. Jacek Pszczola, and Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces Operational Command Maj. Gen. Dariusz Malinowski.

During these meetings, Brown underscored Poland’s role as a critical NATO ally….

The leaders also discussed aspects of their strong bilateral defense relationship that enhance interoperability and contribute to regional security, including Aviation Detachment Rotations at Łask Air Base and Poland’s acquisition of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. They discussed additional areas of mutual interest, including recruiting and future opportunities to integrate and train together.

Brown also met with U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski, as well as embassy staff and members of the Department of Defense team in Warsaw, before traveling to Łask Air Base to meet with U.S. Airmen serving there in defense of NATO’s Eastern Flank.
