Minister of Defense of Georgia met with Azerbaijani and Turkish colleagues

Minister of Defense of Georgia, Zhuansher Burchuladze, attended the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia tripartite defense ministerial meeting in Turkey. After the bilateral meetings, Juansher Burchuladze met with the Minister of Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar and the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov in a tripartite format.

The parties discussed the security environment and modern challenges of the wider Black Sea region, as well as the current events in Ukraine.

At the tripartite ministerial, attention was also focused on the importance of strengthening energy security and diversifying the ways of supplying energy carriers.

At the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia Defense Ministerial, the parties talked about existing cooperation in the field of defense and future plans. Juansher Burchuladze noted that joint exercises and trainings, expert-level meetings bring the militaries of the three countries even closer and strengthen mutual compatibility .

At the end of the meeting, the defense ministers signed a tripartite ministerial communiqué.
